When this song was first written in 2005, I had this visual of Mae West who in spite of having guys fawning over her constantly finally met her match in a contest of hearts. And so in spite of the huge amounts of attention showered upon her by others, she zeroes in on one man and hopes to entice him to make a play for her heart.

Unfortunately, I was never able to find a female jazz vocalist to sing the lead so I changed the gender viewpoint of the lyrics and sang it myself.
